Sends you love notes / sends same notes to another girl
A Scumbag Steve post.
Scumbag Steve is Blake Boston, a young man from Massachusetts in a sideways cap and a fur-lined coat, photographed by his mother in a doorway. The photo appeared on Reddit in 2011. By his own account he's a decent guy, and he took the fame with good humor. The internet, however, decided the hat had a personality. The top line is a favor; the bottom line is how Steve repays it. "Borrows your car - returns it with no gas." "Asks for a ride - you wait twenty minutes outside." "Comes to your party - brings nothing, leaves with your beer." Everyone has known a Steve. Most of us have, at some point, been a little bit Steve. That's why the meme hits: it's an accusation and a confession in one. **Why it caught on:** it gave a face to the friend who always takes, and his opposite, Good Guy Greg, followed soon after.
