A Stereotypical Corps Guy post.
A young cadet in a khaki uniform, garrison cap and white gloves, on a maroon and grey sunburst. The colours and the in-jokes point to the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University. Nothing is known about the man in the photo, and he looks perfectly sharp. It's a campus meme, written by cadets about cadets. The top line is an achievement, plan or rule. The bottom line is the very specific Corps reality that follows. "In high school: top of the class, Eagle Scout" / "Now: shines shoes instead of studying." "Hey, wanna grab lunch?" / "I have a meal plan in Duncan." "It's not hazing" / "It's just your turn." Freshmen are "fish", grades are "GPR", and the uniform is non-negotiable. If you're not an Aggie, half of it will read like code. That's the point. Inside jokes are how small worlds tell each other they exist. **Why it caught on:** a campus full of cadets recognised every single caption.
