My masters in womens studies / qualifies me to complain about the lack of female engineers
A Privilege Denying Feminist post.
A woman in glasses with her hair pulled back, mid-sneer, on a pink and purple background. It appeared as a counterpart to an earlier meme, Privilege Denying Dude, from around 2010. The woman in the photo is not known to be connected to the meme. The format is an accusation of hypocrisy. The top line states a principle about equality. The bottom line describes the character ignoring that principle when it doesn't suit her. Typical posts: "Women should be treated equally" / "Except when women are treated better." "Debate with me maturely" / "Calls you butthurt when you disagree." It is a strawman by design: one imaginary person built to hold every contradiction a poster wants to argue with. It's very much a product of early-2010s gender arguments online, and the posts reflect that. As always with these, the person in the picture is a stand-in and deserves none of it. **Why it caught on:** it gave one side of a heated online argument a ready-made face to argue with.
