A Advice Hitler post.
A painted portrait of Adolf Hitler, the dictator of Nazi Germany, on a red, white and black colour wheel - the colours of the Nazi flag. It's one of the darkest corners of the advice-animal family. The captions are Nazi jokes: puns on "Heil" and "Führer", plays on the invasion of Poland, and, mostly, jokes about the Holocaust and its victims. The format is the usual one. The top line is everyday advice or a pun setup, the bottom line twists it into a reference to the Second World War or the genocide. The shock is the whole point; there is rarely anything else. The meme says more about the people posting than about history. Making a mass murderer a cartoon mascot doesn't make him less of one, and it doesn't make the jokes clever. It just makes them loud. **Why it caught on:** shock humour spread fast on early meme sites, and nothing was more shocking than this.
