The top line sounds like a manager's memo. The bottom line reveals that the manager is still, in every way that matters, a cat. "I'll need those reports by Friday" / "And I knocked your coffee off the desk." "Open door policy" / "Means I sit outside the door and yell until you open it." "Your performance review is at nine" / "I'll be asleep on your keyboard until noon." Business Cat never apologises, never explains and never stays in a meeting longer than he wants to. He also sits in the one cardboard box nobody's allowed to recycle. It's office life with claws, and it feels uncomfortably close to some real bosses. **Why it caught on:** anyone who has worked for an unpredictable boss recognised the management style at once.
